Motorway tolls
Budget tolls for the motorway sections and vehicle you will actually use. A car with a trailer or a taller campervan can cost differently from a passenger car. Keep the booth ticket and payment ready, with electronic TAG use agreed separately for a hire car.

Use the operator for each section
Use JP Autoceste FBiH’s price and vehicle-class page for the A1; Autoputevi RS publishes a separate calculator for its motorway network. Cost the entry and exit stations on your route rather than using a city-to-city distance.
The class can depend on height at the first axle, axle count and a trailer. Ask the hire company which class applies to the supplied vehicle, especially for a campervan or trailer. A passenger-car quotation may not fit it.
Conventional lanes in FBiH
In the FBiH closed system, take the magnetic ticket at entry and give it to the cashier on exit. The payment rules list cash, cards with an acceptance mark and prepaid funds. EUR cash is accepted, with change in KM at the operator’s exchange rate.
Keep the entry ticket safe and within reach for the exit. In an open system, one booth serves both entry and exit. Approach the lane for your payment method, following its signs; ask staff for help with a missing ticket or payment problem.
Prepare separately for the RS network
The RS calculator asks for the vehicle class and entry/exit stations. The RS network includes E661 Gradiška–Banja Luka and the Banja Luka–Doboj corridor, among other sections. Prepare that part of the budget separately from the FBiH journey.
Without an electronic account, obtain Autoputevi RS’s accepted booth payment method and currency before the journey. Its support numbers are +387 51 893 995 from abroad and 0800 51 300. Keep a workable method ready rather than extending the FBiH EUR rule to a different operator.
A hire-car TAG needs an agreement
For a hire-car TAG, agree the enabled network, account and charges with the hire company. The RS operator publishes TAG information and support; it describes use in RS and FBiH, but that does not establish your device’s account setup.
The driving guide covers the road journey beyond the motorway. Add fuel and destination parking to the toll budget, particularly for a route with several town stops.
For a short visit or a frequent motorway journey
A conventional lane can suit a first visit without a TAG arrangement. For repeated motorway drives, compare FBiH’s ACC service and the RS electronic account terms with the hire company’s charges. Published interoperability does not activate a hired device or settle which account will be billed.
If you are deciding whether to drive, prepare a car-hire request, with the route, vehicle class and return address. The intercity guide gives coach and rail alternatives for a trip that can fit their timetables.
