Plan my trip

Sarajevo buses

For Dobrinja, start with line 31e from Vijećnica. For a hillside address, a hospital or the station area, look at that particular destination instead. Save both directions and the final entrance address; an Old Town stop name alone cannot plan the whole journey.

Dobrinja from Vijećnica

Line 31e links Vijećnica and Dobrinja. Leaving the old centre, look for Dobrinja on the vehicle. The Canton’s public portal names the outward arrival end Dobrinja Terminal A; the return starts from Dobrinja Terminal B and lists Vijećnica (Zamjena), a replacement-stop label, at the other end.

The central stops differ by direction. Towards Dobrinja, the list includes Katedrala, Banka, Park and Marijin dvor A. Towards Vijećnica, it includes Muzeji, Marijin dvor B, Skenderija, Drvenija and Latinska ćuprija. Use the Canton transport portal for route timetables, then confirm the boarding point and direction with current operator information and stop signs.

Dobrinja and the airport terminal are different destinations. Centrotrans gives its Bentbaša–airport service a separate tariff; a ticket for 31e does not turn the city journey into an airport transfer.

The 31e fare and paying on entry

Centrotrans publishes a 2.70 KM single for commercial line 31e, Vijećnica–Dobrinja, compared with 2.20 KM for its regular Zone A single. Monthly passes are excluded from 31e. Two separate 31e singles cost 5.40 KM on that tariff.

Buy a cash single from the driver as you enter, with small KM notes or coins ready. A physical CentroCard is tapped on the validator; the app uses a QR code shown on the phone. Pay or validate before settling into a seat, and retain the ticket for inspection.

Podhrastovi, Breka and Jagomir

For Podhrastovi, the public catalogue lists line 14 from Dom Armije. Line 17 serves Breka from Dom Armije; line 20 goes to Jagomir from Park. Use the named terminal when locating the bus.

For a hospital, appointment or accommodation, identify the stop for the entrance you need and save its return direction. The terminal gets you onto the route; the final walk and time at an intermediate stop still need their own answer.

The station area, Bistrik or Vratnik

For the railway or coach station, use the station tram choices alongside your starting point. For Bistrik, Vratnik or another hillside room, give the street and entrance to the operator when asking for the bus or minibus stop. Those neighbourhood names cover more than one possible last walk.

Vijećnica can anchor an Old Town day, while Skenderija and Marijin Dvor belong to different parts of the route. Use the direction-specific list rather than assuming the return stop is opposite the one where you got off.

When luggage changes the choice

Centrotrans’s city rules limit luggage to 80 × 50 × 40 cm and 30 kg. Prams and wheelchairs are allowed where carriage does not endanger passengers. For boarding help, ask about the vehicle and stop for your departure.

One modest bag and a daytime city journey may suit the bus. Several cases, a late arrival or a passenger who needs help boarding can make a direct ride worth considering. Name the pickup and destination in the enquiry. For the wider valley corridor, the tram guide gives another option.

For an ordinary city day

Keep small KM cash and the named operator’s ticket together. Let passengers off, leave room around doors and priority seats, and keep valuables secure in crowds. For the evening return, save the last departure that serves your address.

For a late flight, add the airport terminal, room entrance and bags to a transfer outline. That journey differs from a Dobrinja ride or coach-station pickup.
