Parking for a town visit or a stay

For a short town visit, a signed street space may suit the stop. For an overnight, compare a named lot or garage with the space agreed with your accommodation. Start with the entrance and operator: adjacent parking places can use different prices and payment systems.

A short stop or the whole night?

For street parking, read the bay’s zone, maximum stay and payment instructions as well as the meter. For a garage or barrier lot, keep the entry ticket and use that facility’s payment and exit procedure. For a hotel space, agree the overnight arrangement before arriving with bags.

Keep a paper ticket displayed if instructed, or retain the successful digital confirmation. Set a reminder for the actual time limit; buying another hour does not establish permission to stay beyond it. Avoid blocking an entrance, a marked lane or a reserved bay. For an accessible bay, establish which permit and conditions apply there.

For an Old Town room, agree where you can unload and what you will need to carry from the parking space. Check the route with your bags; a public garage does not necessarily connect to the hotel or provide a lift to the room.

A room with parking needs an actual space

An on-site garage, reserved yard space and public-parking recommendation offer different arrivals. Agree where to unload and leave the car overnight, including the entrance, height limit, late access and price.

Reserve a space with the room when needed and keep its entrance instructions. A parking mention in a listing does not reserve a bay. The stay guides help compare locations.

Sarajevo: identify OSG or RAD

JKP OSG lists Telali at Telali bb and Trg Austrije at Trg Austrije bb, with surface parking at 3.50 KM an hour and bank-card payment only. A space signed RAD follows RAD’s system instead. Use the operator on the sign at the actual parking place.

At an OSG payment kiosk, present the entry ticket’s QR code to the scanner, read the amount and tap or insert the bank card. The operator suggests shading the scanner when bright light prevents a reading. Retain the ticket through the exit procedure.

RAD street charging and barrier parks have different hours. The Sarajevo guide separates them; an evening or Sunday street rule does not make a barrier park free.

Mostar: a street ticket or a special car park

Mostar Parking’s Ćiro and Stadion tables list 1.50 KM an hour for 07:00–21:00, and a passenger-car daily ticket at 10 KM for 00:00–24:00. The special-car-park product has its own terms; a street daily ticket is a different purchase. Larger vehicles have separate tariffs.

Mostar Parking describes meters, SMS and GoParking bank-card payment. Display paper tickets as instructed and retain digital confirmation. The Mostar guide covers zones and seasonal street rules.

An hour and a day use different SMS codes

Tuzla’s published Zone 0 example is 2 KM for an hour using 0833510, or 6 KM for a daily ticket using 0833513. Send the registration number. The day code buys a different product from repeating the hour code; use the location and zone in the Tuzla guide with that choice.

Mostar’s hourly street codes are 0838801 for Zone I and 0838802 for Zone II. The operator requires the returned confirmation and warns against changing the short number by adding a prefix. A sent message alone is not proof of payment.

A published local SMS method does not establish foreign-SIM support. If confirmation does not arrive, use the posted meter, card or ticket-seller alternative available there. Keep proof until the car has left.

Use the guide for the city you will park in

The guides for Banja Luka, Zenica, Bihać and Trebinje give the local tariffs and payment rules. Check the city’s guide before choosing the payment method or length of stay.

For an evening in the old quarter, settle the parking place and the walk or local ride to the room. Leaving the car in one suitable place can be easier than moving it between visits.
