Plan my trip

Stays and travel with a pet

A room that accepts your pet is the start of the plan. Think about meals, walks and the times when you want to visit a museum or join an activity. Agree the overnight arrangements, then plan a day that works for everyone travelling, including the animal.

A room that accepts your animal

Before reserving, give the accommodation your dates, the number and type of animals, and their size. Ask which room can receive you. A general pet-friendly label is less useful than an answer about your particular stay.

Think about the space inside the room as well as permission to enter it. Familiar bedding and a place where the animal can settle may matter more than an appealing property photograph.

Agree where your animal can join you

Staying and dining are separate permissions

A restaurant that welcomes pets does not necessarily offer overnight accommodation for them. Likewise, room permission does not settle where the animal can join you for breakfast or dinner. Ask each venue about the space you intend to use.

For a meal with your pet, establish whether permission applies indoors, on a terrace or in another designated area. Include the animal when reserving so the answer concerns your visit. An assistance-animal request is a separate matter; this comparison does not determine the applicable rights.

Keep the agreed arrangements with the booking

Keep the property’s written reply with your reservation, naming the accepted animals and room. Include the fee amount and whether it is charged per animal, per night or per stay, together with any separate cleaning charge.

Settle the house rules in the same exchange, including whether the animal may be left alone and which spaces it can use. Keep that answer with the booking so everyone travelling knows what was agreed.

Put the overnight beside the walks

For Sarajevo, Marijin Dvor, Vilsonovo’s promenade area and Grbavica give different addresses to consider. Mostar’s west bank near Spanish Square and a Blagaj garden property make different Mostar-area searches. The local setting does not grant pet permission at the property or nearby visitor sites.

Borik and the Vrbas paths in Banja Luka, Trebinje’s west bank or park edge, and Tuzla’s lakes or Sjenjak are other base directions. Use the Trebinje and Tuzla guides to place the address beside the days you want.

Bihać’s riverside lanes, Foča and Drina-area accommodation, or a Kupres or Vlašić chalet bring other surroundings into the plan. Record your animal’s needs in a stay outline, then obtain the property’s answer before booking. A garden needs its own enclosure details; a park activity or walk may have separate animal rules.

A workable day beyond the hotel

A hotel’s policy cannot admit your pet to another restaurant, a museum, a park activity or a transfer vehicle. If part of the day excludes the animal, decide who will care for it and where. Share that plan with everyone travelling, leaving time for walks, water and rest between outings.

For a private journey, include the animal in the request alongside the people and luggage. The provider must agree how it will travel. If you are crossing a border, current animal-entry documents are a separate requirement from the hotel booking.

Everyday arrangements for the animal

Pack a bowl, waste bags and the supplies your animal uses each day. Include shade and water in a hot-day walk, and leave room for rest when the journey or surroundings are unfamiliar.
