Arriving in Sarajevo

An airport bus towards Baščaršija can work well for an Old Town stay. A hillside apartment, heavy luggage or a late check-in may make a direct ride more appealing. The final streets to your accommodation matter as much as the ride into town.

A direct ride to your stay

For a taxi, agree the destination and fare basis before leaving. For a pre-arranged pickup, keep the meeting point, travel-day contact and flight-delay terms with your arrival details.

For an Old Town or hillside address, ask your accommodation where the vehicle can stop and how to reach reception or collect keys. Pass those instructions to your driver.

A SIM before you leave the terminal

The airport lists BH Telecom’s sales desk in the ground-floor lobby of Terminal B, selling Ultra prepaid SIM cards and Ultra Tourist packages. Its published hours are Monday–Saturday 08:30–20:30 and Sunday 10:00–18:00. A late arrival needs another connectivity plan; the listing does not establish all-night service or eSIM activation.

Choosing your first night

Baščaršija suits a first morning around the Old Town. If museums are the priority, compare accommodation around Marijin Dvor; an early train or coach may make proximity to the relevant station more useful. The Sarajevo guide helps match the stay to the visit.

Save the full address, key-collection instructions and property contact offline. Knowing how you will enter the building is as useful as knowing how you will leave the airport.

Use the Sarajevo stay guide to choose an area, then keep your dates and room requirements in My Trip.
