Parking in Banja Luka

For Kastel and the river, start with the Kastel car park; for a central errand, compare Zenit or Tržnica. A day ticket or the Aleja svetog Save garage may suit a longer visit. Banja Luka’s Sunday rules depend on the parking place.

Four useful starting points

  • Zenit and Tržnica Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića are in Zone 0.
  • Kastel and the public Vidovdanska garage are in Zone I.
  • Park Mladen Stojanović is in Zone II.
  • The public garage in Aleja svetog Save block D has a separate garage tariff.

Use the City parking list to distinguish a street space from a named car park or garage. The same central visit can lead to different day-ticket and Sunday choices. The list gives the zone; it does not reserve a space.

Hourly and day prices

The City lists Zone 0 at 2 KM per started hour, without a day ticket. Zone I is 2 KM per started hour or 7 KM for the day; Zone II is 1 KM per started hour or 5 KM for the day. Compare the daily option with the time you will spend away from the car, including the walk back.

Aleja svetog Save block D has its own price: 1 KM per started hour or 5 KM for a day ticket. Use that garage’s tariff rather than the neighbouring street’s. Monthly and longer products are separate from a visitor’s day ticket.

Paying by SMS

Zone 0, one hour:
0835114.
Zone I, one hour:
0835101; day: 0835102.
Zone II, one hour:
0835100; day: 0835103.

Text the registration without hyphens; the City gives 123T456 as its example. The successful reply identifies the vehicle and zone you have paid for. Read those details before walking away. A wrongly entered plate or an outgoing message without a successful purchase leaves the payment unresolved.

The outgoing SMS carries an extra charge; the notification is free. With a foreign SIM, have a posted alternative ready before relying on the short code. If the purchase fails, ask the City parking office which method you can use at that location.

Sunday and the garages

Weekday charging runs 07:00–21:00 and Saturday charging 07:00–16:00. Tržnica, Kastel, Palas and Đure Daničića also charge 07:00–16:00 on Sundays. A Sunday fortress visit therefore needs a parking ticket when using Kastel in that window.

Aleja svetog Save block D and Vidovdanska publish 00:00–24:00 charging every day. For an overnight, ask about the garage entrance, pedestrian exit and vehicle collection as well as the tariff.

Overnight parking

For repeated nights, compare a property’s parking offer with the public day ticket. The entrance, luggage drop and walk back to the room are part of that choice. Confirm the parking space and luggage drop with your accommodation.

The parking office is at Kralja Alfonsa XIII 11, telephone +387 51 307 808. Keep the location and payment reply with that contact. Use the city guide for the day on foot and Banja Luka buses for an onward neighbourhood journey.

The ticket and the space have separate rules

Use a marked space and read any maximum stay or permit restriction on its sign. Paying another hour does not override a time limit. Keep a printed ticket displayed where required or the successful SMS reply on your phone; avoid entrances and reserved bays.
