Sarajevo–Mostar: choose the journey
Choose the travel day you want between Sarajevo and Mostar. A coach follows its departure and terminal; a private journey can include agreed addresses and a Konjic stop. Rail is another option to investigate through the operator’s timetable, with the station journeys at both ends.

Coach time and arrival point
Centrotrans displays Sarajevo–Mostar examples taking around 2 hours 40 minutes. Add the station journeys and boarding to that coach time when comparing the day. Sarajevo’s coach station is at Put života 8, near the railway station; the two modes still require different tickets and boarding points.
Centrotrans uses “MOSTAR (I)” in its search. That label alone is not a street address. Mostar’s station operator gives Trg Ivana Krndelja 8 on its contact page; an earlier page used number 4. Obtain the carrier’s arrival station and entrance for the chosen departure, then plan the last leg to the room.
Use the fare for the actual date and departure, adding station-service and luggage charges and the journeys at each end. Compare that total with the complete private quote, including any stop or waiting. A coach ticket and an address-to-address ride cover different journeys.

Buying through Centrotrans
Centrotrans’s purchase process takes you through the route, date, departure, passenger details and payment; an account is optional. Its FAQ recommends a printed ticket without requiring one. A fixed-date return reserves that journey, while an open-date return requires a separate check-in to reserve the return place.
Buying through Sarajevo station
Sarajevo station’s website has separate instructions: online sales close two hours before departure, the emailed barcode gives platform entry, and the station-service ticket is bought at the station. Follow the instructions for the site through which you buy; the Centrotrans and station processes are not interchangeable.
Luggage and extra charges
Centrotrans lists possible additional station-service, luggage and open-return check-in charges. Luggage prices depend on the line. Give the operator a bicycle or scooter enquiry in advance so its reply addresses the actual bus.
A direct ride or a stop in Konjic?
A direct private ride leaves the day focused on reaching Mostar. For time off the road, Konjic’s Old Stone Bridge over the Neretva is a specific stop: the municipality describes its seventeenth-century architecture and the old bazaar beside it. A bridge walk and coffee or food stop need agreed waiting and a later Mostar arrival. A scheduled coach ticket does not include that sightseeing break.
Give the Sarajevo pickup and Mostar drop-off addresses, date, preferred departure, passengers and bags. For Konjic, say whether you want a bridge walk, a meal or another visit, with any child-seat or access needs and the return. Agree the visit and waiting time together.
What to agree for a private journey
The private proposal should identify the operator, pickup and drop-off, seating and luggage, stops and waiting, complete price and relevant change terms. Include a stop only through the agreed arrangement. Explicit confirmation of those details is what makes the journey booked.
Airport connections and the reverse journey
For a start at Sarajevo Airport, include the flight and meeting details. With a public connection, put baggage collection and the ride to the station before the intercity departure.
The Mostar–Sarajevo direction needs its own date, pickup and endpoint. If it ends at an airport, give the departure flight so the proposed journey can be assessed against that connection.
Include rail in the comparison
ŽFBH publishes a Sarajevo–Čapljina timetable alongside its other services. For a Mostar rail journey, obtain the actual Mostar station time for the direction and date; the Čapljina endpoint clock is not a Mostar boarding time. Confirm ticket purchase, bags and station journeys with the railway.
For a daylight train journey, put that preference into the date and departure choice. For a Konjic visit with luggage left in a vehicle, describe the stop in the private enquiry. Decide how you want to spend the travel day before comparing fares.
